James Burns, Musical Director.
|

James Burns joined the band in 2008 on Principal Cornet. As a vacancy for Musical Director arose in Autumn that year, James agreed to take the helm in a caretaker capacity whilst the band sought applicants. In this capacity, James proved his own credentials for the job by guiding the band to a runners-up spot at the SWBBA contest, and it was of little surprise when he turned out to be the band's choice of Musical Director when auditions for the role were held at the end of the year. He has previously played Cornet and Flugel for the Illogan Sparnon, St Keverne, Hayle and Soham Comrades bands, and has guided the band to respectable contest placings at the West of England Regional and Cornish Associations contests since his permanent appointment. |
Belinda Reynolds - Principal Cornet

Belinda joined in 2007 from Constantine Band, and moved onto the Principal Cornet seat following James' move to Musical Director. Her husband Chris also plays within the band. |

Karen Evans - Repiano Cornet
|

Karen is a product of the Training Band, and progressed into the senior band during 2005. She is the daughter of Brian, who is one of the band's hard working supporters. |
Denis Floyd - Soprano Cornet
|

Denis is from Helston, and is bands longest serving member, having joined in 1953, although advancing years haven't impeded his ability to produce notes of a pitch only bats could hear. He is the son of the late Edgar Floyd, who conducted us during our spell in the Championship Section in the '60s. During concerts his wife Betty can be seen dishing out raffle tickets to the audience. When not playing in the band, Denis is a keen cricketer. |
